Issuing Flow
- 1The university uploads the diploma PDF through the dashboard
- 2The backend computes the SHA-256 document hash
- 3A Certificate ID is generated from the hash, metadata, issuer, and timestamp
- 4The record is anchored on-chain and a certified PDF with a QR code is issued
- 5The student receives the certified diploma for sharing and archiving
Verification Flow
- An employer scans the QR code or uploads the PDF
- The system recalculates the hash and compares it with the on-chain record
- A VALID status confirms the diploma is authentic and unmodified
Why Blockchain?
Diploma fraud is a growing problem. Blockchain anchoring makes forged credentials instantly detectable while preserving privacy, because only the hash is stored on-chain.
Universities can batch-register thousands of diplomas in a single transaction to reduce costs.
