01 · No Support for Fraud

Cornicular firmly opposes all forms of fraud, deception, and illegal activity. We refuse to support or facilitate any attempt to misuse blockchain technology for dishonest purposes, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone engaging in such activity.

By using our platform, you agree not to register, sign, or verify content with the intent to mislead, forge, or deceive others.

02 · Prior Registration

Because blockchain records are public, permanent, and timestamped, there is a possibility that a document or file similar to yours has already been registered by another party at an earlier time. In such cases, the earlier registration is considered valid by the network.

This means another person could register content that matches yours before you do. Whoever registers a hash first holds the first proof of existence on-chain, so please ensure your content is original and uniquely identifiable before registering it.

03 · Content Accuracy

Cornicular verifies the existence and integrity of your files at the time of registration. We do not validate the accuracy, truthfulness, or completeness of the content itself, nor do we endorse it.

You are solely responsible for the facts, claims, and information contained in the documents you register. On-chain records confirm when a file existed, not whether its content is correct, lawful, or genuine.

04 · Proof of Existence Only

Blockchain hashing proves that a specific piece of content existed at a specific point in time. It does not prove who created the content or who holds legitimate ownership over it.

Third parties may attempt to claim ownership of content they did not create by relying on on-chain records. Treat on-chain records as evidence of existence, not proof of identity or authorship.

05 · Verification Limitations

Verification results depend entirely on the exact file or hash you submit. Any change to the original document, even a single byte, produces a different hash and may result in a failed or mismatched verification.

Always verify using the original bytes of your document. Modified copies, re-exported PDFs, or re-encoded content may fail to verify even if they look identical.

06 · Third-Party Dependencies

Cornicular relies on public blockchain networks, smart contracts, RPC nodes, and third-party infrastructure that we do not fully control. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of these services.

Network congestion, outages, chain reorganizations, or changes to public infrastructure may delay, modify, or interrupt the operation of the platform without our control.

07 · Limitation of Liability

You are fully responsible for the files, metadata, and information you submit to Cornicular, and for ensuring your use of the platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cornicular shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or liability arising from your use of the platform or your reliance on any verification result.
